Celebrating Todmorden – Walsden St Peters Primary School

Todmorden Town Council has generously supported the Todmorden Treat, a project to give each primary school an experience of working with the same artist or performer during the spring term.  This year each workshop will result in a series of A2 posters, inspired by vintage travel posters, which will celebrate Todmorden in the local area and promote it to people living outside the town. Read more about this year’s theme here.  These are the posters created by the youngest group to take part so far, Elizabeth Dawber’s very talented Year 3 class from Walsden St Peters CE (VC) Primary School.

“As the children were building new skills they were also developing in confidence and self -belief throughout the session.” Class teacher.

“We have shared the children’s work during our Friday whole school celebration assembly.  The children were very proud to show off their masterpieces and were confident to discuss how and why they created the posters.” Class teacher.

“Cath made me feel confident when I couldn’t do the collaging.  She helped me and I actually did it!” Pupil
